Comunicado de la banda:Con gran pesar queremos hacer público que nuestro bateri, miembro fundador y amigo Andi Schnitzer ha decidido dejar la banda.
Comunicado de Andi:
"Hola todos, por la presente, declaro que ya no soy parte de Kissin' Dynamite. Dejé la banda hace unas semanas.
Antes de explicar mi decisión, y antes de nada quiero expresar mi agradecimiento por el hecho de que nuestra despedida se caracterizase por un ambiente de respeto.
En cuanto al motivo de mi partida, simplemente debo decir que llegué a la conclusión de que lamentablemente, nos alejamos demasiado con el tiempo y ya no hablamos el mismo idioma, también en lo que respecta a cuestiones esenciales. Por lo tanto, tomé la decisión, estando en paz conmigo y con los chicos.
Sin embargo, miro hacia atrás con gratitud y sin remordimientos a un viaje salvaje, que comenzó exactamente hace 20 años con Jim, en unos viejos bancos de madera en el patio de nuestra escuela, y que me llevó a través de cientos de escenarios en varios países del mundo, a tocar frente a miles de personas. Tuve el privilegio de experimentar muchos momentos estimulantes, conocer gente estupenda y conocer lugares increibless. ¡Y todo esto gratis! Gracias en este punto en particular a Jomi y a todo el equipo de KD. ¡Vuesto idealismo, compromiso y lealtad a lo largo de todos los años estuvo fuera de toda duda!
Y, por supuesto, mi agradecimiento también para todos los fans. Estuvimos agitando la cabeza, pinchando, sudando, hablando en voz baja y profunda, tomando fotos, firmando autógrafos, bebiendo cerveza... ¡Simplemente momentos estupendos juntos y me alegra el corazón recordarlo!
En lo que a mí respecta: estoy seguro de que tarde o temprano volveré a tocar la batería en una banda. Supongo que de todos modos no puedo evitarlo. Hasta entonces, entre otras cosas, voy a utilizar mi tiempo en publicar un libro que escribí con pasión en el último año y medio.
Definitivamente será un libro de Rock 'n' Roll, pero no solo...
Finalmente quiero decir lo siguiente:
Está más allá de toda duda, que el Rock 'n' Roll en general desde hace muchos años, y en particular desde el coronavirus está pasando por momentos difíciles. Quien mira a su alrededor, inevitablemente debe enfrentarse a las siguientes verdades: un icono del rock tras otro se despiden de este mundo, por razones bastante naturales. Mientras tanto, cada vez la música pierde másvalor, con el resultado de que quienes la hacen, ya no pueden ganarse la vida con ella. Además, el coronavirus obliga a los legendarios clubs a arrodillarse y les quita a las bandas lo último que les quedaba: tocar en directo. Por no hablar de los empleados, taquilleros, personal de seguridad, etc. Incluso Gene Simmons dice que el Rock está oficialmente muerto y afirma, tal vez no del todo infundado, que debido a la mala situación, no hay ninguna banda verdaderamente icónica desde los Foo Fighters. Y sí, de hecho, no se puede decir nada en contra de todo eso a primera vista. Y tal vez ni siquiera en segundo o tercera. Pero soy de la opinión de que el Rock 'n' Roll no se trata de mirar alrededor. Para mí, simplemente significa mirar hacia adentro, para recordar de una manera bastante poco nostálgica, que el Rock 'n' Roll fue originalmente (y es) atemporal. Y por lo tanto es y será. Y tal vez, esta situación desagradable en la que se encuentra actualmente el mundo (de la música), solo quiere forzarnos a regresar a este recuerdo invariable, incluso si duele al principio. Tal vez, solo está ahí para recordarnos que la esencia del Rock 'n' Roll nunca se trató en condiciones externas. Ni temporal, ni espacial, ni musical. Que Beethoven no tenía más ni menos bolas que Keith Richards , Grohl Dave o Lady Gaga. Y que un niño de doce años que ve un video de youtube de un concierto durante el encierro mientras siente pura alegría y placer, no es menos roquero en ese momento que alguien que está sobre un escenario frente a miles de personas. Y tal vez, de esta manera, poco a poco podríamos volver a aclarar un poco el hecho de que el Rock 'n' Roll nunca se trató de otra cosa que de una actitud incondicional de libertad y por lo tanto, simplemente no puede morir. Menos que nunca cuando el mundo actualmente parece llegar a su fin.
Jim, Steffen, Ande y Hannes: ¡Les deseo todo lo mejor desde el fondo de mi corazón! Para aquellos que siguen en el Rock, ¡Yo os saludo!
Queremos desearle a Andi todo lo mejor en su futuro viaje. Conservaremos nuestro tiempo común en un buen recuerdo.

Hereby, I'm declaring that I am no longer a part of Kissin' Dynamite. I left the band a few weeks ago.
Before I'm gonna explain my decision, first of all I wanna express my appreciation for the fact, that our parting was characterized by a respectful atmosphere.
In terms of the reason for my departure, I must simply say, that I came to the conclusion, that unfortunately, we drifted apart too much over time and didn't speak the same language anymore, also regarding essential issues. Therefore, I drew the conclusion, being at peace with myself and the boys.
Nevertheless, I gratefully and remorselessly look back on a wild ride, which quite exactly began 20 years ago with Jim on some old wooden benches on our schoolyard, and which led me across hundreds of stages in several countries of the world, in order to play in front of thousands of
people. I had the privilege to experience many elevating moments, meet great people and see exciting places. And all this for free!
Thank you at this point in particular to Jomi and the whole KD – Crew.
Your idealism, your commitment and your loyalty throughout all the years was beyond any doubt!
And of course, my thanks also go out to all fans. We had some headbanging, earpiercing, sweat- dropping, small- and deep-talking, phototaking, autograph-writing, beer-drinking,...just great hours together and it warms my heart when I remember that!
As far as I'm concerned: I'm sure that sooner or later I'll be hitting the drums in a band again. I guess, I can't help it anyway.
Until then, among other things, I'm gonna use the time in order to publish a book which I passionately wrote in the last one and a half years. It's definitely gonna be a Rock 'n' Roll book, but not only...
I finally wanna say the following:
It's beyond question, that Rock 'n' Roll in general since many years, and in particular since Corona is going through hard, hard times. Who looks around, inevitably must face the following truths:
One Rock Icon after the other bids good bye to this world, due to quite natural reasons. Meanwhile, music is falling in value more and more with the result that those, who make it, cannot make a living from it anymore.
Additionally, Corona forces partly legendary clubs to their knees and takes away the last thing from bands, that was still left to them: Playing live. Not
to mention the crews, bookers, security people and so forth.
Even Gene Simmons
indicates that Rock is officially dead and claims, maybe not entirely unfounded, that due to the screwed situation, there haven't been
any truly iconic bands since the Foo Fighters
.
And yes – Indeed, one actually cannot say anything against all that at first sight. And maybe even not at second or third.
But I am of the opinion that Rock 'n' Roll ain't about looking around. For me, it simply means to look inside, in order to remember in a quite unnostalgic way, that Rock 'n' Roll was originally (and) timeless. And therefore is. And will be. Naturally.
And maybe, this unpleasant situation that the world (of music) is currently in, only wants to downright force us back into just this priceless memory, even if it hurts at first. Maybe, it's just there to remind us, that the essence of Rock 'n' Roll never ever was about any outside conditions. Neither time-wise, nor spatial, nor musical.
That Beethoven didn't have more or less balls than Keith Richards
, Grohl Dave
or Lady Gaga
. And that a
twelve-year-old, that watches a youtube video of a concert during the lockdown while feeling sheer joy and pleasure at it, just ain't less Rock 'n' Roll at this moment than someone who's standing on a stage in front of thousands of people.
And maybe, like this, bit by bit we might be getting a bit clearer again about the fact, that Rock 'n' Roll never ever was about anything else than about an unconditional attitude of freedom and therefore simply cannot die. Less than ever when the world currently seems to come to an end.
Jim, Steffen, Ande and Hannes: I wish you all the best from the bottom of my heart!
