Extreme Metal giants ARCH ENEMY will release a strictly limited, hand-numbered 7inch single and a digital single for their song “Reason To Believe” on December 7th, 2018 through Century Media Records! Both formats, physical and digital, feature the cover song “Shout” (Tear For Fears) as a b-side.

The 7inch single will be available in the following vinyl colors:

Black vinyl – limited to 300 copies
Clear vinyl – limited to 100 copies, only available at CMDistro EU
White vinyl – limited to 200 copies

On July 29th, extreme metal masters Arch Enemy will release their 11th studio album, ‘Deceivers’!
A collection of 11 tracks that are ruthlessly catchy and mercilessly violent, ‘Deceivers’ stands toe-to-toe with the highlights of the band's storied catalogue.
Fans can expect the new single - "Handshake With Hell" - to drop next week (Friday, February 4th) along with the album pre-order start.
Michael Amott comments as follows:
"Having just celebrated our 25th anniversary as a group and now releasing our 11th studio album, one could easily assume that we would be cruising along and going through the motions at this point. In reality, nothing could be further from the truth when it comes to Arch Enemy and our new album, 'Deceivers'. It is without a doubt always a challenge to raise the bar each time in both the songwriting and production side of things, and it can feel a bit daunting before we get into it. But once we do get started and fully immerse ourselves in the creative process, it's really like there is nothing else in the world and we are very focused. And believe it or not, for the most part, we have a ton of fun making this music! Creating 'Deceivers' was no different, once again we shut out the outside world and went deep into the artistic zone. I believe we pulled out some really interesting musical and lyrical themes this time, a few things might even raise an eyebrow or two - while retaining all the signature elements of the band. In the end, it's Arch Enemy at full speed and power!"

I'm a big fan of the vinyl format myself and I think this killer looking 7" will be a nice collector's item as it's a limited run. The B-side is an instrumental we've never released before on a record, and the A-side is one of my fave tracks off our new upcoming album 'Deceivers'!"

Arch Enemy and long running member Jeff Loomis have amicably parted ways.


Arch Enemy founder and chief songwriter Michael Amott comments: “It’s been a joy having Jeff play with Arch Enemy for close to a decade, we truly had a blast touring around the world together! We were friends long before we played music together and we remain even closer buddies now, which feels great. We respect that he’s in a place and time in life where he needs to step out of Arch Enemy and we all wish him nothing but the best moving forward. The only constant is change, and this is one of those moments where things had to change a little to move forward in a satisfactory way for everyone involved. With all that said, we are extremely pleased to announce that we have recruited Joey Concepcion as our new guitarist! Joey’s a phenomenal talent and has been a friend of the band for a long time, he even filled in for Jeff on a couple of European festival shows back in 2018. We have touring and a myriad of other exciting things coming up on the horizon with Arch Enemy for 2024 and beyond and are thrilled to move forward, creating the next chapter and keeping the Metal flowing!”


Jeff Loomis comments: “My time in Arch Enemy has come to an end. I have had a great time (9 years!) of playing and touring with them, but now it’s time to enter a new chapter in my life. I wish Alissa, Michael, Sharlee and Daniel the very best and consider them all lifelong friends. I’d also like to thank the crew that have always been nothing but kind to me. Their hard work and dedication towards the band is incredible, and we wouldn't be able to put on the great shows without them. Thank you again for all your support over the years and Happy New Year”.


Lastly, Joey Concepcion has the following to say about joining the Arch Enemy fold: “It’s an honor and a privilege to be working with Arch Enemy and I’m very much looking forward to shredding stages across the globe together, playing for and meeting all the fans!”
