ALESTORM IN THE STUDIO!

Ahoy humans! We are very thrilled to announce that we have entered the studio to record our fifth full-length album, entitled "NO GRAVE BUT THE SEA"!

We will be spending the next month at Alpaca Ranch Recording Studio in Orlando, USA, with producer Lasse Lammert once again at the helm. This will also be the first full release featuring our grandiose guitarist Máté Bodor!

This is the point where we would usually tell you this album is going to be darker and heavier than our previous works, but that's probably not true. It is, however, full of epic songs about pirates, drinking, and pseudoscientific cryptogeography.

We'll have a bunch more updates for you over the coming weeks and months, including the album cover, track list, release dates, and more!

Aarrrrrrrr, the one and only heavy metal pirates of ALESTORM are back, and they've brought with them their 5th full length album titled 'No Grave But The Sea'! Time to put on your eyepatch and let the rum flow freely for the unstoppable international party machine, as ALESTORM have finally announced first and hotly anticipated details on their brand new album!

'No Grave But The Sea' will be released on May 26th 2017 on Napalm Records, now the band fronted by Captain Chris Bowes unveiled their upcoming album cover art as well as track listing.

Captain Christopher Bowes commented on the album:
"Oh wow! It's a new Alestorm album! I hope all of you fellow humans & dogs like it; we think it's pretty gosh darn ok! It's also our first album to feature our grandiose guitarist Máté Bodor who brings his tasty & delicious solos and rifftacular riffing into the mix. This is the place in the press release where we would usually tell you this album is darker and heavier than our previous works, but that's probably not true. Oh wow, humans of planet Earth! We're super excited to announce that today we have entered Krabi Road Studios in Thailand to begin the recording of the 6th Alestorm album, which will be called "Curse of the Crystal Coconut"! We may or may not have stolen that title from Donkey Kong. Anyway, we'll be here for the next 3 weeks recording 13-ish songs, some of which will be so absolutely terrible that they'll never see the light of day. The ones that somehow turn out alright will be released on Napalm Records sometime in the early summer! LOTS OF UPDATES COMING SOON, stay tuned and we'll tell you all about it.

Alestorm - New Album, Curse Of The Crystal Coconut, To Be Released On May 29th!

No matter if you are ready or not, you filthy landlubbers – ALESTORM returns in an uncensored, satirical, and glorious manner! Two years after their latest album, No Grave But The Sea, the pirate metal drinking crew will return to the nightmares of all decent sea marauders out there with their brand new conquest, Curse Of The Crystal Coconut, to be released on May 29th, 2020 via Napalm Records.

Known for their signature attitude and unashamedly catchy tunes, the crew, led by Captain Christopher Bowes, is proud to present eleven bombastic pirate anthems, kept in their signature unadulterated, chaotic fashion that will pull the rug out from under your feet.

Breaking the stereotypical portrayal of pirates as the lone wolves of the sea, on Curse of the Crystal Coconut, ALESTORM will be joined by Ally Storch of Subway to Sally (violin on the entire album) and Captain Yarrface of Rumahoy – amongst others! The variety of tracks featured on the album will satisfy even the pickiest adventure seeker and the wildest pirate parties out there. “Chomp Chomp”, featuring vocals of Vreth of Finntroll, may make you never want to enter the open waters again, but will definitely invite you to dance along to ravishing melodies. The catchy rhythm of “Pirate Metal Drinking Crew” makes the track yet another foot-stomping anthem in the assortment of these treasure-searching marauders. However, don’t take their rage too lightheartedly, as once they unleash the “Pirate’s Scorn” and its brutal riffs, there may be no coming back…

Of course, it wouldn’t be an ALESTORM album without their unique sense of humor – this, and much more, can be found on the party-smashing “Treasure Chest Party Quest” or the surprising “Zombies Ate My Party Ship”. Although the Curse of the Crystal Coconut may remain a mystery for now, one thing is for sure – it will make you throw all the conventionalities aside and join this humorous pirate crew on their most fierce and grim journey so far!

"Oh wow! Live concerts! Remember those? Nah, me neither. Anyway, a couple of years ago we played a giant show at the 013 in Tilburg, Netherlands. It was a whole lot of fun. We even filmed the whole thing. And when we released the recording for free on YouTube last year, a whole bunch of you said you really liked it. And being the treasure-hungry sellout pirates that we are, it made us realize we could probably convince a bunch of you to buy it if we wrapped it in plastic and stuck it in a big wooden box. We even added some low-effort bonus features. Enjoy!"

Excellently produced and mixed by the renowned Lasse Lammert, who has already been involved in ALESTORM’s studio albums Curse Of The Crystal Coconut, No Grave But The Sea, Sunset On The Golden Age and many more, Live in Tilburg features an amazing mix of ALESTORM’s most beloved hits like “Drink“, “Mexico”, “Alestorm”, “Hangover”, “The Sunk’n Norwegian” and of course, “Fucked With An Anchor”.

SEVENTH RUM OF A SEVENTH RUM
Oh wow! Today we are thrilled to announce that we have extended our contract with Napalm Records for three more albums, and we have just entered the studio to record our 7th album, which will be called "Seventh Rum of a Seventh Rum". We'll be spending the next month with our long-time producer Lasse Lammert at Middle Farm Studios in sunny Devon, England, recording all the instruments and vocals and having a very silly time. Of course we will have a bunch of updates for you coming later on, with the tracklist, album art, release dates, and all that nonsense. Stay tuned!

Oh wow! On June 24th 2022 we will release our 7th album "Seventh Rum of a Seventh Rum" on Napalm Records! Right now we're very excited to reveal to you the cover artwork (once again drawn by the magnificent Dan Goldsworthy), and the tracklist:

If you think that everything we've released since 2014 is absolute garbage, then you're gonna love this album! We've stuffed 77% more giant metal riffs and epic orchestral adventures into these songs, and it all actually sounds kinda cool. But if you're a fan of Lamborghinis, Rubber Ducks and Swearing - don't despair! We've also somehow managed to write some of our most moronic and offensive party anthems ever for this record as well.

The whole thing is once again produced by the legendary wizard Lasse Lammert, and there's guest appearances from all our favorite friends, including Captain Yarrface on vocals, Patty Gurdy on hurdygurdy, Ally Storch on violin, Matt Cockram on egg, and even an entire choir singing in badly translated Latin courtesy of the guys and girls from Hellscore.

Oh wow! We've just arrived at Grenma Studio in Budapest to record a short EP, which will be called "Voyage of the Dead Marauder". Once again Lasse Lammert will be producing, and it'll consist of 3 original songs and 2 silly cover songs. It'll be out on Napalm Records sometime in the spring of 2024. The tentative tracklist is as follows:
