Tigertailz son una banda de Glam Metal de Cardiff, Gales. Son mayormente famosos por su álbum de los años 90 "Bezerk", el cual logro el puesto 40 de los más vendidos en ese año en el Reino Unido. Su primer larga duración fue "Young And Crazy" en 1987. El album presentaba al cantante Steevi Jaimz, el guitarrista Jay Pepper, el bajista Pepsi Tate y al batería Ace Finchum. A medida que la banda avanzaba en su jira promocionando el álbum, quedo en claro que no estaban contentos con Steevi Jaimz, y varias peleas a causa de su adicción al alcohol hizo que la banda se desprendiera de el. En su puesto entro Kim Hooker, quien grabo 'Bezerk' el cual es obtuvo una excelente critica.
La voz de Hooker y su presencia escénica llevaron a la banda a otro nivel comercial. Debido a que un par de acuerdos salieron mal y al crecimiento del Grunge (esto fue peor que la peste), la banda quedo en stand-by por un largo tiempo. Sin embargo, lanzaron Banzai!, una colección de "caras b" y temas regrabados en Japónen 1991. Editaron también "Wazbones!" en el 95, con la formación Hooker-Pepper-Tate-Finchum. El tour iba bien pero no había una compañía interesada en mantener la banda.
En el 2005 la banda reformo su formación clásica con la incorporación del batería fundador de los "City Kidds", Matt Blakout quien reemplazo a Ace Finchum.
La banda gano un juicio por la titularidad del nombre Tigertailz contra una banda encabezada por Steevi Jaimz y con Finchum en la batería.
Pepsi Tate que nació en 1965 bajo el nombre de Huw Justin Smith se convirtió en productor televisivo, luego del éxito de la banda y fue el productor de "Dragons Eye". El 30 de agosto de 2007 se caso con su compañera, la cantante
Shan Cothi. Tristemente, el 18 de septiembre de 2007, murió a causa de un cáncer pancreático. Tenia 42 años.
