No habrá más MOTÖRHEAD Mikkey Dee (batería) ha confirmado que la banda dejará la gira y no grabará más discos tras el fallecimiento del líder emblemático del grupo Ian "Lemmy" Kilmister.

"MOTÖRHEAD is over, of course," Mikkey told Sweden's Expressen newspaper. "Lemmy was MOTÖRHEAD. But the band will live on in the memories of many."

Todd Singerman (mánager) ha revelado a Sky News, que Lemmy fue al hospital dos días después de su fiesta del stenta cumpleaños - en el club Whisky A Go Go en Hollywood, California el 13 de diciembre - porque no se sentía bien. Aunque sus médicos inicialmente dijeron que estaba bien, decidieron hacer un escáner cerebral antes de darle el alta, porque "su modo de hablar les pareció un poco extraño. Querían ver si tal vez [había tenido] una apoplejía menor." La exploración descubrió tumores en el cerebro y en el cuello de Lemmy.
Singerman dijo a Sky News el lunes: "Nadie tenía la menor idea, supimos el sábado que tenía cáncer, hace dos días, y el médico le dijo que tenía entre dos y seis meses de vida. Él [murió] hoy, haciendo llamadas a [sus compañeros de Motörhead] Phil [Campbell] y Mikkey [Dee], diciéndoles que iban a girar, para que pudieran tener un último adiós, él todavía era optimista... Se sentía fuerte aun... No esperaba morir así.

The band's longtime manager Todd Singerman has revealed to Sky News that Lemmy went to hospital two days after his 70th- birthday party at the Whisky A Go Go club in Hollywood, California on December 13 because he wasn't feeling well. Although his doctors initially said he was fine, they decided to do a brain scan before releasing him because "his speech was seeming a little odd. We wanted to see if maybe [he'd had] a minor stroke." The scan uncovered tumors in Lemmy's brain and neck.
Singerman told Sky News on Monday: "Nobody had any idea, we just learned Saturday, two days ago, that he even had cancer, and the doctor told him he had between two to six months to live. He [died] today as I was making calls to [his MOTÖRHEAD bandmates] Phil [Campbell] and Mikkey [Dee], telling them to come on out so they could have a last goodbye while he was still upbeat and everything. He was feeling mighty low... He wasn't expected to die like that."
