Agradecimiento de SAXON a los Fans españolesEl vocalista de SAXON, Biff Byford, ha comunicado en su
web un mensaje, entre otras cosas, agradeciendo la respuesta de los recientes conciertos en España junto a MÖTORHEAD y JUDAS PRIEST:
"Los conciertos en España con PRIEST fueron geniales, gran audiencia y genial el encontrarnos de nuevo con nuestros viejos amigos de la banda y también con MÖTORHEAD. También los conciertos de Tokio han sido especiales, además cuando hemos sido la primera banda en tocar después del terremoto, y les damos las gracias a los fans por la gran atmósfera y lo bien que nos trataron durante los meet and greet.
Dentro de poco anunciaremos más fechas, que harán que esta gira sea la más larga en muchos años creo, que van a ser unas 150 fechas por todo el mundo desde que empezamos en marzo. Y también habrá más encuentros con los fans en estos próximos shows. La siguiente parada es Polonia y luego unos días de vacaciones".
Hablando sobre ciertos rumores de reunión con antiguos miembros de la banda, comenta que nada de nada: "Alguna gente está hablando de reuniones, pero sigo diciendo que mientras los viejos miembros sigan viviendo del pasado y pretendiendo volver a SAXON a la mejor oportunidad, no habrá ningún tipo de encuentro.
Como he dicho otras veces, ya les hemos permitido que usen el nombre de OLIVER DAWSON SAXON, para que pudieran hacer más dinero, pero no les vamos a permitir hacer más que esto. Además, sé que la mayoría de los fans no están de acuerdo en que usen el nombre, pero si cruzan demasiado la línea ya será el momento de vernos de nuevo en los tribunales. De hecho, después de todo les permitimos aparecer en el DVD en directo "Heavy metal thunder", que fue hecho para los fans y así debía ser. Pero SAXON están en un momento fantástico y tenemos un gran legado musical que incluye toda nuestra carrera, no sólo una parte de ella".

Just got back from Japan
The shows in Spain with Priest were fantastic. Great audience and good to meet them again and Motörhead. Shows in Tokyo were special. First band there after earthquake so they said great atmosphere and we spent some time at the meet and greet . We are announcing further shows soon which will make this tour the longest for many years I think. It will be around 150 days since March all around the world. I am working on setting more charity meet and greets will be talking to the promoters when dates get confirmed. So off for a well earned rest and a curry, next show Poland and then holidays.

P.S.: Some people are talking of reunions. I can tell you all now while ever ex members are living in the past and pretending to be in Saxon at every opportunity there will be no reunion. As I have said before: we allowed them to use Oliver Dawson Saxon so they could earn money but they are not allowed to do anything else. I know all of you do not like the fact that they can use this name but if they cross the line too far we will enforce our high court injunction. After all we did allow them to appear on the heavy metal thunder live DVD which was done for the fans as it should be. Saxon are on a fantastic journey at the moment and we have a great legacy of music but that includes all our music not just parts of it.
