Trece años después de que Wig Wam celebrase su primer concierto en Halden, el 24 de febrero de 2001, sus cuatro miembros han decidió disolver la banda de muetuo acuerdo y tomar diferentes caminos. La banda confirma que no hay planes de despedida.

Wig Wam har ligget på is siden sommeren 2012 da gitarist Trond Holter og bassist Bernt Jansen bestemte seg for å satse som faste medlemmer i metalbandet JORN og et nytt bandprosjekt. Wig Wam spilte imidlertid 2 konserter ifjor med planer om en nyutgivelse i 2014. Men nå har bandmedlemene imidlertid bestemt seg for droppe alt samarbeid og satser på sine individuelle karrierer.
Allerede lørdag 15.mars gir vokalist Åge Sten Nilsen ut sin første singel «Do You Like It» fra sitt kommende album produsert av den svenske stjerneprodusenten Erik Mårtensson. Han planlegger nå også en turnè med sitt nye soloband ÅGE STEN NILSEN’S AMMUNITION, der musikerne er hentet fra både hans nystartede «superband» Nordic Beast, W.E.T og svenske Eclipse. Repertoaret vil by på låter fra Wig Wam’s 4 studioalbum, låter fra Åge’s kommende album og en stor dose Queen.
