ELIS: nueva vocalista y anuncio de nuevo discoDespués de que Sandra su anterior vocalista abandonase la banda ELIS publico en su web el siguiente comunicado:
Hace ya un par de semanas desde el anuncio de la salida de Sandra. Queremos aprovechar la oportunidad para decir algunas cosas acerca de eso y echar un vistazo rápido sobre el futuro del ELIS.
Sabíamos que no sería fácil seguir con ELIS después de la muerte de Sabine y por lo tanto necesitabamos una personalidad fuerte en nuestra nueva cantante. Hemos encontrado a esa persona en Sandra...
Hicimos conciertos y giras, y grabamos un disco brillante, "Catharsis", en el que pusimos mucho corazón, sangre y sentimientos personales.
Pero a medida que pasa el tiempo, Sandra y nuestros intereses se movieron en direcciones diferentes y se hizo más y más difícil encontrar un denominador común. Así que nos sorprendimos mucho cuando Sandra nos dijo, que ella quería dejar la banda. Hablamos durante mucho tiempo y se llegó a la conclusión de que separarse sería lo mejor para todos.
Una vez más, tuvimos que decidir, si seguir con ELIS y de que forma.
Nos pusimos de acuerdo para darnos una oportunidad más, pero con un nuevo comienzo. Pensamos que tenemos que hacer un corte para dejar atrás el pasado y avanzar hacia el futuro.
Hemos encontrado una nuev@ gran cantante y estamos escribiendo nuevas canciones en este momento. Nuestro objetivo es entrar al estudio a finales de este año para grabar un nuevo álbum. También estamos ensayando regularmente, preparándonos para la nueva etapa lo más pronto posible.

Queremos dar las gracias a Sandra por los buenos tiempos que tuvimos y le deseamos todo lo mejor para su futuro personal y musical!

It’s now a couple of weeks ago, since the announcement of Sandra’s departure. We want to take the opportunity, to say a few words about that and give you a quick view to the future of ELIS.
We knew that it wouldn’t be easy to go on with ELIS after Sabine’s death and therefore we needed a strong personality as our new singer. We found this person in Sandra and it felt like we have sought and found each other.
We played great concerts and tours and we created a brilliant record, ‘Catharsis’, in which we’ve put a lot of heart blood and personal feelings.
But as time goes by, Sandra’s and our interests moved in different directions and it became more and more difficult to find a common denominator. So we weren’t very surprised as Sandra told us, that she considers leaving the band. We talked for a long time and came to the conclusion, that it would be the best for all, to part ways.
Yet again, we had to decide, if we should go on with ELIS and how it should look like.
We agreed to give it one more try, but with a fresh start. We felt that a cut has to be done, to leave the past behind and move forward into the future.
We found a great new singer and are writing new songs right now. Our goal is to enter the studio by the end of this year to record a new album. We also are rehearsing regularly, to get ready for the stage as soon as possible.
