Awa (Teclado) deja LORDIAwa la veterana teclista de Lordi dejará la banda. Estará en el escenario por última vez en Simerock en Rovaniemi (Finlandia) el 11 de agosto de 2012, día en que Lordi celebra su 10 aniversario. Awa se unió a la banda en 2005 y ha tocado en los tres álbumes de estudio Lordi.
El sucesor de Awa, el nuevo teclista de la banda ya ha sido seleccionad@. Por lo tanto tocara en el siguiente álbum de estudio, que está previsto para principios de 2013. Los personajes y los nombres de los personajes del nuevo teclista y batería se dará a conocer junto con nuevas máscaras y trajes antes de la publicación del siguiente álbum de estudio de la banda.
Awa comenta: "Tocar en la banda ha sido una experiencia increíble y sin duda uno de los mejores momentos de mi vida. Siempre he sido muy aficionada a Lordi, su música e imagen, y seguramente seguiré sus novedades de cerca. La banda y el equipo fueron y serán siempre una segunda familia para mí y los perderé en gran medida a ellos y a nuestros fans. Sin embargo, siete años en la banda han sido física y emocionalmente muy exigentes. Hay que estar en una banda como esta al 100%. Si no eres capaz de hacer eso, tienes que dejarlo y dejar sitio a alguien nuevo. "
"Quiero enfatizar que no voy a dejar la música o de hacer música, porque la música es lo más importante para mí en la vida. Estoy ahora en una pausa creativa, pero tenemos ya varias ideas nuevas. Oiréis hablar de ellas, siempre y cuando encuentre un buen momento. También creo que todavía se me podrá ver detrás de los teclados algún día ".
Lordi comento: "Hemos estado discutiendo esto detrás del escenario durante bastante tiempo, pero nadie sabía que este año sería de este tipo, un año de cambios para Lordi. Por supuesto, siempre crees y deseas que la formación actual sea permanente y definitiva, pero éstas no son cuestiones de fe. Las situaciones cambian, las cosas suceden y los planes se renuevan. Todos nosotros en la banda queríamos que se quedara, pero también entendemos su decisión y la respetamos. Sabemos que esta decisión no fue fácil para ella. Le tomó mucho tiempo llegar a esta conclusión. "
"Estuvimos de acuerdo en que ella no participe en las siguientes sesiones de estudio. En este caso habría tenido que pasar tiempo con nosotros, al menos los próximos dos años. Naturalmente, no habría sido justo con ella, la banda o nuestros fans ".

Lordi’s longtime keyboardist Awa will leave the band. She will be seen on stage for the last time at Simerock in Rovaniemi, Finland on August 11, 2012 when Lordi will be celebrating the band’s 10 year anniversary. Awa joined the band in 2005 and her first Lordi album was the international success record The Arockalypse. Awa has played altogether on three Lordi studio albums.
Awa’s successor, a new keyboardist of the band, has been selected already. The keyboardist will therefore be playing on the band’s next studio album, which is planned for early 2013. Awa will not be heard or seen on the next album or on the next tour. The characters and character names of the new keyboardist and the drummer will be revealed together with new masks and outfits before the release of the band’s next studio album.
Awa tells about her decision as follows: ”Playing in the band has been an incredible experience and clearly one of the best times in my life. I have always been very fond of Lordi, its music and image, and will surely be following news about it closely. The band and the crew were and will always be a second family to me and I will be missing them and our fans greatly. However, seven years in the band has been physically and emotionally very demanding. You have to be in a band like this 100 %. If you are not able to do that anymore, you have to let go and give space for something new.”
“I want to emphasize that I am not going to leave music or making music, because music is the most important thing to me in life. I am on a creative break now, but have several new ideas already. You will hear about them if and when the time is good. I also believe that I can still be seen behind the keyboards some day,” she continues.
The leader of the band, Mr. Lordi states: “We have been discussing this behind the scenes for quite some time, but nobody knew that this year would be this kind of a year of changes for Lordi. Of course you always believe and wish your current line-up would be permanent and final, but these are not issues of faith. Situations change, things happen and plans are renewed. All the rest of us in the band wanted her to go on with us, but we also understand her decision and respect that. We know that this decision was not easy for her either. It took a long time to come to this conclusion.”
“We agreed already earlier, that she will not participate our next album studio sessions. In this case she would have had to hang out with us for the next couple of years. Naturally it would have not been fair to her, to the band or to our fans, “ Mr. Lordi says.
