Sunden Michael, de 45 años, murió después de caer y golpearse la cabeza en Rock City en Nottingham. Era un profesional respetado con años de experiencia a sus espaldas.
Pero la banda se enfrenta a la ruina financiera debido a que sólo Sunden mantenía el registro de las transacciones, mientras que la banda estaba de gira. Ahora están esperando que los aficionados pueden acudir en su ayuda - o temen que su carrera pueda haber llegado a su fin.
Crashdiet emitió el siguiente comunicado: "La trágica muerte de nuestro querido amigo Michael fue un duro golpe para nosotros, y lo sigue siendo. Después de muchas noches sin dormir, decidimos continuar con la etapa europea de la gira como estaba previsto, sobre todo porque se trata de lo que él hubiera querido.
"Sin embargo, la cruda realidad es que Michael trabajaba solo con las finanzas, y su repentino fallecimiento nos dejó en una muy mala situación económica.
"Hemos tomado prestado dinero de todas partes para poder comenzar la gira como estaba previsto el miércoles, pero nuestra situación es muy insegura como mínimo. Parece que vamos a estar en deuda para los próximos años. Hemos pasado por momentos difíciles antes, pero esta vez no podemos hacerlo solos ".
La banda ha creado una campaña de apoyo
“I Saved The Tour”, camisetas, objetos firmados, incluso una entrada laminada válida para toda la vida. Ya han recaudado el 168% de su objetivo original, pero dicen que todo ayuda, y que la campaña se desarrollará durante diez días más.

Swedish glam outfit Crashdiet have issued an SOS to fans after they lost their manager in a tragic accident last month.
Michael Sunden, 45, died after falling and hitting his head at the Rock City venue in Nottingham. He was a respected professional with years of experience behind him.
But the band are facing financial ruin because only Sunden was keeping track of transactions while the band were on the road.
Now they’re hoping fans can come to their aid – or they fear their career could be at an end.
Crashdiet say in a statement: “The tragic passing of our beloved friend Michael was a hard hit for us to take, and it still is. After many sleepless nights we decided to continue the European leg of the tour as planned, mainly because this is what he would have wanted.
“However, the harsh reality is that Michael worked alone with the finances, and his sudden passing left us in a extremely bad situation money-wise.
“We have borrowed money from everywhere to be able to begin the tour as planned on Wednesday, but our situation is very insecure to say the least. It looks like we’ll be in debt for years to come. We have managed to get through rough times before, but this time we can’t do it alone.”
The band have set up a support campaign offering “I Saved The Tour” shirts, signed road memorabilia and even a tour laminate valid for life. They’ve already raised 168% of their original target, but say every amount helps, and the campaign will run for ten more days.
“The fact that we have the best fans in the world means a lot,” they say.
