According to a post on the Twisted Sister In The Clubs (Unauthorized) 1976-1983 Facebook page, German filmmaker Andrew Horn is putting the finishing touches on a new movie about TWISTED SISTER's club days. He states: "It begins with them in their earliest incarnation as a glam cover band in New Jersey and ends with them signing their deal with Atlantic at the end of '82 after their legendary appearance on 'The Tube' in the UK. It includes many performances in the clubs from that time and a lot of their legendary schtick such as the 'Sweet Jane' drink-'till-you-vomit gong show, the destruction of Hammerheads and, of course, Disco Sucks (and all that that implies). And a great story!"

German filmmaker Andrew Horn has set "We Are Twisted F*cking Sister!" as the title of his movie about TWISTED SISTER's club days.

TWISTED SISTER guitarist Jay Jay French previously stated about the upcoming film: "Within the next year, a documentary about the history of the first 10 years of TWISTED SISTER will finally be exhibited from the filmmaker Andy Horn.

"Andy has been working on this documentary for the last four years. The idea came to him after an interview with me concerning another artist named Klaus Nomi who opened for us at the Soap Factory around 1981. At that time, Andy really knew very little about us and became fascinated by the story of our long and winding road to a record deal.

The members of Twisted Sister are profoundly saddened to announce the untimely passing of our brother, AJ Pero

The band, crew and most importantly the family of AJ Pero thank you for your thoughts and prayers at this time.

TWISTED SISTER drummer A.J. Pero has died at the age of 55.

In an official statement, the surviving members of the band wrote: "The members of TWISTED SISTER are profoundly saddened to announce the untimely passing of our brother, A.J. Pero.

"The band, crew and most importantly the family of A.J. Pero thank you for your thoughts and prayers at this time."

TWISTED SISTER singer Dee Snider released a separate statement, saying: "Today I lost a brother. Anthony Jude Pero passed away. A.J. was the final piece in a band that would become an international sensation and one of the greatest live rock acts to ever hit the stage. His sledgehammer assault on the drums helped drive TWISTED SISTER and me to greatness and inspired me to rock every single show. My heart breaks knowing I will never feel the power of his beat behind me, or turn to see his face smiling broadly from the sheer joy he got from doing what he loved. I will always remember that smile. RIP my friend."
