For the very first time we welcome a special guest star: Rock legend Bonnie Tyler has recorded a stunning duet with Johnny Gioeli, which is called “Love´s Holding On”. Bonnie Tyler only records songs she personally likes. So I wrote this tune just for her and she really loved it. She came to the studio and we recorded it. The result is amazing ! If I hadn’t been a fan already, I would have turned into one instantly.
Of course this is not the only brand new track. We recorded a cover version of Ed Sheeran´s “I See Fire”, which turns much harder in the end, so we added our typical flavour to it.
“On The Edge Of Our Time” is the third new recorded song and it´s another classic ARP style ballad with a great hookline.
One of your and our Show favorites from the last tour was “The Line” and we decided to include this blistering Live version on this album. It was recorded during our 2016 “Rock Of Ages” Festival show.

AXEL RUDI PELL OFFICIAL SITE will release "XXX Anniversary Live" on June 07th, 2019 as 2CD digipak, 3LP gatefold and digital. This year he celebrates 30 years as a solo artist!

Now AXEL RUDI PELL is about to release “Sign Of The Times“, his 18th (!) studio album in 31 years. But not quantity matters - it’s the quality that counts, stupid! His consistency enjoys more and more respect and appreciation within the hard & heavy community. Not every time, but with increasing frequency you hear the term ‘cult‘ when it comes to AXEL RUDI PELL. Being the man that he is, he cannot rely on that idea, but “if someone is that successful over such a long period of time, he might as well deserve it.” Sounds down to earth? Well, it was meant that way. “When we played Moscow last summer, a lot of fans came up to me, calling me a ’legend‘. My answer was: I’m just a guitar player.” Nothing more, nothing less. Although the 59-year-old knows what he’s capable of, he is still able to surprise himself, like on “Sign Of The Times“. “I don‘t know why, but this time I finished the songs at least a month ahead of my deadline.”
