Renuncias en ICED EARTHEl cantante de Iced Earth, Stu Block y el bajista Luke Appleton han anunciado su salida de la banda.
El lunes 15 de febrero, Stu que lleva en la banda desde 2011, emitió la siguiente declaración a través de sus redes sociales:
"Hola a todos, bueno, hay momentos y situaciones en las que hay que hacer un balance y reevaluar la vida, el trabajo y la trayectoria de futuro. Dicho esto, he informado a Jon Schaffer y a su actual gerencia que debo anunciar mi renuncia a Iced Earth con efecto inmediato. Antes de tomar cualquier decisión personal, necesitaba unas semanas para procesar la situación y respetar que los demás también la procesasen. Les agradezco mucho a todos respetar esto. Es la mejor decisión en muchos sentidos para mi / para el crecimiento profesional y el futuro. Es hora de seguir adelante, sanar y prosperar."

Appleton, quien se unió a la banda en 2012 y tocó en los álbumes "Plagues Of Babylon" e "Incorruptible", emitió una declaración separada diciendo:
"En respuesta a eventos y circunstancias recientes, he notificado a la gerencia de Iced Earth y a Jon que he renunciando como bajista de Iced Earth con efecto inmediato. Me gustaría dar las gracias a todos los que me han enviado su apoyo y amor durante este difícil momento. ¡¡¡Gracias !!!

Por otro lado, el guitarrista Jake Dreyer, se ha distanciado de la banda, diciendo que ahora está enfocado únicamente en su otro grupo, Witherfall.

TMZ contactó a Dreyer para conocer las novedades sobre su situación en el grupo. Jake, cuyo perfil de Instagram ya no incluye ser el guitarrista de Iced Earth, le dijo al sitio web que fue contratado para tocar con la banda de 2016 a 2018, pero que ahora se enfoca únicamente en tocar con Witherfall. Jake dijo que disfrutó de su tiempo con Iced Earth, pero que, "es lamentable cómo se desarrolló esta tragedia".

That being said I have informed Jon [Schaffer, ICED EARTH guitarist and leader] and his current management that I must announce my resignation from ICED EARTH with immediate effect.
"Before I made any personal decision I needed the last few weeks to process the situation as well as respect others in our camp processing the situation. I thank you all very much for respecting this. It's the best decision in many ways for my personal/ professional growth going forward. Time to move on, heal and prosper.

Appleton, who joined the band in 2012 and played on the "Plagues Of Babylon" and "Incorruptible" albums, issued a separate statement saying: "In response to recent events & circumstances, I have notified ICED EARTH's management and Jon that I will be resigning as the ICED EARTH bassist with immediate effect.
"I would like to thank everyone who has sent me their support and love during this difficult time. Thank you!!!"
Block and Appleton's resignations from ICED EARTH come a month after Schaffer was arrested for his role in last month's riot at the U.S. Capitol.

Just hours after ICED EARTH singer Stu Block and bassist Luke Appleton announced their departures from the band, TMZ reached out to Dreyer to get an update on his status with the group.
Jake, whose Instagram profile no longer lists him as ICED EARTH's lead guitarist, told the web site that he was hired to play with the band from 2016 to 2018 but now he's focused solely on playing with WITHERFALL. Jake said that he enjoyed his time with ICED EARTH, but "it's unfortunate how this tragedy unfolded,"
