TANKARD cambia de bateríaAnuncio de la banda:Después de más de 30 años, lamentamos anunciar la marcha de nuestro batería Olaf Zissel. Olaf, que ha estado detrás de la batería desde el Two-Faced Tour (1994), deja la banda a petición propia.
Su sucesor no es un extraño: Gerd Lücking, nuestro ingeniero de sonido/FOH desde hace muchos años, que ya ha reemplazado a Olaf varias veces, asumirá ahora el puesto de forma permanente. Sin duda, Gerd es conocido por muchos como el batería de bandas como Holy Moses, Bonded, Veritas Maximus, Courageous O Lightmare.
Olaf comenta:
"Después de más de 30 años de doble función (trabajo y grupo), la motivación se ha ido. Me gustaría ceder ante el deterioro físico y el deseo de poder volver a hacer cosas normales. Algo como elaborar cerveza, obtener una licencia de pesca, o comprar granadas de mano en la darknet..."
Gerd añade:
"Fue hace poco más de 36(!) años, en 1988, cuando yo tenía sólo 13 años y animaba a los chicos de Tankard en el Volksbildungsheim de Frankfurt e inmediatamente me di cuenta de que algún día yo también quiero poder beber tanta cerveza en sólo 90 minutos.
Hoy, después de un arduo trabajo para adquirir este talento y de 25 increíbles años en la mesa de mezclas (más el salto a la batería en algun concierto que otro), estoy asumiendo un gran legado al tomar el taburete de la batería con la esperanza de poder reproducir la alegría de tocar de mi predecesor y mantenerme al día con la presencia de la banda en el escenario. Gracias a mis amigos y hermanos de Tankard, por su gran confianza en mí."

After more than 30 years, we regret to announce the departure of our drummer Olaf Zissel. Olaf, who has been behind the drum kit since the Two-Faced Tour (1994), is leaving the band at his own request.
His successor is no stranger: Gerd Lücking, the our FOH/sound engineer of many years' standing, who has already filled in for Olaf a few times, will now take over the post permanently. Gerd is certainly known to many as the drummer of bands such as HOLY MOSES, BONDED, VERITAS MAXIMUS, COURAGEOUS or LIGHTMARE.
Olaf comments:
"After over 30 years of double duty (job & band) the motivation has gone. I'd like to give in to the physical decline and the desire to be able to do normal things again. Something like brewing beer, getting a fishing license or buying hand grenades on the darknet..."
Gerd adds:
"It was just over 36(!) years ago in 1988, when I was just 13 years old and cheered on the guys from Tankard at the Volksbildungsheim in Frankfurt and I immediately realized that one day I also want to be able to drink that much beer in just 90 minutes.
Today, after hard work to acquire this talent and an incredible 25 years at the mixing desk in between (plus the jump in on drums at one show or another), I'm taking on a great legacy by taking over the drum stool in the hope of availability of reproducing my predecessor's joy of playing and keeping up with the band's massive stage presence. Thanks to my friends and brothers from Tankard, for their great trust in me."
