ACCEPT "Blood Of The Nations"
Nuclear Blast
Sounds like: royal heavy metal
The comeback album of the German Heavy Metal kings, is one of the most
awaited albums of the genre, but also the one that started a lot of
discussions. Some of their fans assumed, that Accept with no Udo
Dirkschneider behind the microphone is no Accept. Well, then they will be
surprised. They really will be. New Accept with Mark Tornillo as a singer is
not only 100% of Accept in Accept, but they managed - together with this
American vocalist - to deliver one of the best albums in their career. On
the "Blood Of The Nations" we can hear both something new, and the old, well
known elements, that we know from the amazing albums such as "Metal Heart"
or "Russian Roulette". At first our faces are punched with a powerful sound:
heavy, full, juicy and bright. We could speculate if Andy Sneap is the right
guy to work on band's sound, but after listening to this album we can again
admit, who actually deal the cards in this business. Right after first punch
we can hear the well known things: singing guitar solos, simple but
incredibly powerful riffs, and the rhythm section with a beautiful sounding
bass guitar settled on a drums, that sound like a marching army: tight,
heavy, with a power that will make your house shaking. The two single
songs - "The Abyss" and "Teutonic Terror" already announced something big,
but the final result is far beyond any expectations. New thing here is of
course the voice of Mark, but to be honest, he fits perfectly to Accept, and
the moments where he has these legendary Accept-like choirs behind him, will
make your blood boiling. Listen to the refrain of the title track "Blood Of
The Nations", feel the atmosphere of "New World Comin'" or try to stay calm
while listening to "Beat The Bastards". Metal Heart beats again: the German
Heavy Metal kings are back in glory! More at
